After a long summer break with the children it’s time to focus upon all things fashion once more. The mannequin is primed with pins, the bolt of calico standing to attention in the corner of the studio, and a bright shiny new sketchbook is waiting to be filled with ideas & swatches. My hot pink heels this morning are my take on “New Shoes for a New School Year” and are the perfect fit for my creative plans this season.
Whilst the high street is currently obsessed with all things pale pink, I’m feeling far more attracted to Pantone‘s jewel hues. In the depths of the inevitable greyness of a UK winter, I crave colour and what could be more nurturing than the voluptuous hues of Mykonos Blue, Vivacious and Koi? Sartorial sunshine for the soul. It makes me happy. And that’s a pretty good place from which to start each new day.
