Credited as bringing bohemian chic to 60’s London, artist & fashion designer Thea Porter is being celebrated at the Fashion & Textile Museum, London with a fabulous retrospective of her work. Porter was a master of fusion – giving Eastern historical & cultural reference a modern edge which had rockstars & movie stars clamouring to wear her designs.
Porter’s relaxed, feminine aesthetic is as relevant in 2015 with designers such as Matthew Williamson & Isabel Marant, together with brands such as Antik Batik, continuing that legacy. This summer’s 70’s fashion story is a great time to work a little Thea into your wardrobe…be inspired.
